Jaspers bring in some serious recruits: Top F/O man Chace Calkin from CO. kicked butt in vail! Jon Fiorillo OCC Goalie and player of the year! Brian Mcgrath big strong LI attackmen from carey HS! Tom Bruno Fr. Goalie from LI Macarthur HS. who makes the big saves! Evan Potter big athletic defender from CO. Mullen HS state finals for him and his teammate Chace! Two midwest middies big, very fast and athletic players Tyler Jarvis from St. Louis and Jason Davis from Ohio! Two kids from down south D-man Jeff Mohr big, strong kid who plays for green turtle in the summer and Igor Laray very athletic middie who can run! Jon Crean from western NY Hamburg kid who does it all small but good! Big attackmen / middie from section one NY pearl river HS don't know much about him but leading scorer each season past 3 years. Middie from LI middle country kid small but solid player Ed Bellaceras. On lax power I see two late additions two middies one from LI Babylon and the other from Bergen Catholic in NJ does anyone know anything about these kids? Please fill me in.

Solid group of recruits looks like coach Mac is looking to make a run at the title again in the near future. Good luck to the jaspers in 2010 and best of luck to the freshmen class. Does anyone know of any possible transfers coach mac picked up?

Coach Mac's recruit are often over-rated. Although, the OCC goalie is legit -- saw him play 3 times last season. Each game he was awesome.

Don't forget, Coac Mac has three returning attackman in Synowisz, Variano and Jensen. They put up some pretty decent numbers.

From what I'm hearing MC will play non conference Hopkins, Princeton, Hofstra, Villanova, Sacred Heart, Robert morris & Presbyterian. Looks like a strong schedule for 2010 season. Funny how someone said Jaspers recruits are over rated usually they are never rated. LOL

I hope we are not comparing All Americans like that means anything. I think they have a middie from colorado and a juco transfer- who was all american status at OCC.

Glad to see the boards alive! MAAC 2010 as well. MC usually recruits the Island and no AA Long Island players end up in the MAAC. At least none that I know of...

Lots of talk about Siena, St. Joe's and Canisius for '10, Where does manhattan fit in to MAAC next year? Don't think they got any all americans, but doesn't All American depend on what region you are from. I wouldn't compare an All-American going to St. Joe's to one that may be going to one of the "biggies". The Jaspers were a surprise last yea,and if I recall, Coach Macs transfers were a great addition to the team.THe OCC goalie should fit nicely to replace Geagan in goal.

Suit yourself. All American from Maryland, Upstate and Downstate NY and NJ is a very good indication of talent. Maybe not the top-50 IL players but still from developed programs with good coaching. Hawks got a good bunch of players this year. Some of them may contribute right away.

That being said, my vote is a Siena vs. Manhattan Conference Final again in 2010. Canisius and Saint Joseph's get the other tournament seeds.

Manhattan vs Hokins, Princeton, Hofstra and Villanova does coach MacK have a death wish for the 2010 season. Great games but one sided victories. Good luck otherwise I will be watching. :naughty:

You can't get better unless you play the best. Plus, you're able to recruit better players when you play the best.

I agree the Hopkins game is daunting, but Princeton played Canisius close last year and Hofstra and Villanova have been up and down the past couple of years, so who knows who you're going to play in those games.

I think the upgrade in schedule is great for Manhattan. You don't lose anything by playing those teams. If you lose, you were expected to lose. If you lose a close one it's a boost for the program. If you win, it's a really big boost to your program. What's the downside? The MAAC teams are doing a good thing for their programs by upping the ante and playing good teams.

i agree. Gotta play the best to be the best. Excited to see some strong talent stepping up this year. Heard great things about Kaiser and Mahon ready to break out in their junior years. Go Jaspers!
