University of Northwestern has a new coach. Travis Sanders was promoted when Jay Mays moved to Arizona.

Colby, is this a formality? http://www.colby.edu/administration_cs/ ... um=organic

It's from 2010.

Although another change in Waterville wouldn't be a surprise.

Anything else out there? Gotta think some of the postings are getting close to being done.

Centre has been on a downward trend of later, has the school changed their support in the last few years or was it something else ?

Centre still has Coach Sharbaugh listed on the team site. However there is a post for a Head Coaches position. Are they just behind in cleaning up their sites ?

Babson College (MA)

Can someone please explain this one to me? They were regular season champs, Gorman has put in a bunch of years, has a ft assistant, great school, good facilities with a new athletic center coming, etc.... Is he moving up? What would be up? Holy Cross, Lafayette? Babson is a very good diii job, only way to go up would be if a NESCAC is opening.... Please someone with more info spill the beans.

Although I think Gorman is great coach - top level with strategy, development, and culture - I also think Babson has consistently underachieved in recruiting. They shouldnt be losing recruits to anyone, yet I have yet to see elite talent come through there like at Wesleyan or a Tufts. Maybe thats what led to the change, or maybe he is pursuing greener pastures. Either way I am sure he will land on his feet.

SUNY New Paltz is a nice opportunity for the right coach. My daughter just graduated from there last week. The academics are excellent: cutting edge in engineering and technology, business school is well-regarded, and they've always been excellent in the arts and in education. They have decent athletic facilities, with two turf fields, one built in the last three years. Proximity to lacrosse "hotbeds" is a real plus. They've had women's lax for a long time, this is long overdue. Good news!

Babson is an exceptional school with a relatively narrow academic focus. For those interested in pursuing business/entrepreneurship, it provides opportunities/connections typically not available to undergraduates. It is an undergraduate business school, not a liberal arts college. Its academic focus limits its recruit pool to those with the requisite academic chops and an interest in business. That said, I must admit that I, too, am surprised they haven't developed further than they already have. Do they have reasonable financial/merit aid? They have had nationally ranked teams in several sports over the years and won the D3 national men's basketball title last year. Their ice hockey program is a perennial D3 contender, too.
