JUCO 2018 talk

Nassau looked good in its road win at Howard. Here's the highlight followed by interviews with Howard players Will Smith (captain/transfer from Lynchburg) and sophomore midfielder Jesse Ekstrom.

Onondaga rolls upstart Mercyhurst N.E 33-4 tonight.

Big run vs Harford this Saturday on Chuck Wilbur Field. Can't wait to watch this game Saturday.

Harford's games this weekend against Onondaga and Finger Lakes have been cancelled due to impending weather.

Daga rolls Finger Lakes something like 35-1, 36-1, 37-1, depending on who you hear it from. Up next, #2 Nassau down on the island.

#1 Onondaga v #2 Nassau

Big tilt down on Long Island as #1 Onondaga travels to take on #2 Nassau. What are your thoughts leading up to this match-up? Weather could be a factor here too it sounds like.

Will be nice to see Onondaga face off against some bigger fish.
My guess is the game on the island will be a tight one.

Perplexing as Hofstra, Stoney Brook, St. John's and all the other D2's-D3's on the Island and in the vicinity seem to be playing tomorrow as scheduled, but not Nassau. Any insight Salo77??

My understanding is the Onondaga team was on route to Nassau about 3 hours into trip and the got a call that the field was unplayable due to ice and with the overnight conditions not looking any better.

The game was then going to be moved to the Dome Today Sat March 10th, but travel and cost would be prohibative

Now the game is going to be At Onondaga on Friday 16th because Nassau was scheduled to play GCC on Sat. March 17th. so they will just go to Syracuse and play on Friday and Sat. and make it one trip like when they went to Maryland a few weeks ago.

OCC will also play Essex on the following day, so both teams are playing 2 games in 24 hours. Cool

Essex not what they once were.
Got blasted by Genesee at home.
Essex has felt the effects of all the local kids staying at home in their own counties and playing at Howard, AACC and Harford.
Stinks for Essex, but good for REGION XX lax. The region is deeper than it's been in a while.

Sounds like the saga now that may never end. Weather in CNY this week/weekend may preclude Daga from ANY games this weekend with Nassau or Essex. Assuming that's why they haven't announced the make up date/time for the NCC vs OCC game yet?
Wondering if they are trying to secure the Dome for both games somehow, someway? Any further insight you can share or even guesses as to how this may play out dallasdog??

Well the latest word from this weekend news: Nassau wants game at there site even though they are traveling to Upstate NY this weekend to play GCC. When is can happen is unlikely because DAGA has a full schedule on every WED and SAT with games if you look at the schedule and classes until the end of season so travel will be tough. They also have to make up a home game verses Harford, but if you look at Harford CC website they have the game cancelled.
Light snow in Syracuse from what I hear, but DAGA has turf and Sat. is going to be 30 degree so game on verses Essex unless they cant travel. Maybe more will be determined this week about the NCC and DAGA make up game.
One solution NCC plays at OCC this year and OCC plays at NCC next year. Can't control Winter and mother nature in New York

Yea, it doesn't look like its happening. AS A Nassau alum pretty embarrassed Nassau cancelled game. Nobody will touch us the rest of this year so I am sure they will meet in finals.

Why was the game called off for last Sat. I initially heard it was bad field conditions, but have to question why other D1 D2 D3 teams were able to play on the same day in that area???
Any insight as to why they felt need to not play the game? and then why they won't work at rescheduling the game?

Essex pummelled for the second time in as many weeks.
This time by Onondaga 32-5.
As I said before, not the Knights of yesteryear.

Onondaga with a lopsided shutout victory over Jefferson 34-0. Jefferson was able to generate maybe 2 shots on goal the entire game. Not fun to watch.

Any coach who puts up over 30 against a clearly inferior team is not teaching his players sportsmanship.

I watched the whole game. There starters were out after 10 mins and they ran clock for 3 quarters. They only shot a few times in the 4th qtr. Shocked how good OCC 3rd and 4th liners are . I wish some of those guys went to other programs to make juco more competitive . OCC back ups would be a top 5 team in juco.

Region XX looks more competitive this year. Here are highlights from Anne Arundel at Howard followed by interviews with Howard head coach Erik Foust, Ian Decker (2017 All-American) and TJ Ellis (Stevenson transfer)
