Sorry. I didn't no i wasn't allowed to bring up Hogan on this thread. My point was they did shorten games but they didn't just send people home with no games.

They were 28 minute games and the point I was making was that they just didn't send us home with nothing.

We played one full game on Sat at 8 am and another at 10 that lasted 5 minutes before everything was cancelled for the rest of the weekend.

My son's team didn't play any games at USTC. They're first game was scheduled for noon and all was cancelled by 10:15.

Our local club team played one 25 minute game.

A major refund is in order here.

Has anyone heard anything regarding a refund? The policy is very vague. It simply states "there may be a refund"

Supposed weather insurance was taken out. There may be refunds if the claim is processed.

Insurance shouldn't affect the teams getting a refund. Every other tournament has some type of refund policy. Not to mention, Lehigh Laxfest continued as did other area tournaments. This would be VERY bad businees since this tournament was pretty $$$.

This was their choice not to play and protect their fields. They should accept financial responsibility for this choice.

I am dismayed that there has been no communication or response to communication sent. It is still early, but I would expect some type of communication shortly.

Upper Atlantic just released a statement saying refunds will be issued. This will go a long way towards the survival of this tourney in up comming years.

Upper Atlantic Downingtown REFUND?

New postby Rojo on Mon Jul 20, 2009 3:32 pm

ANYONE RECIEVE FURTHER NOTIFICATION ON THIS? I REALLY THINK THAT UNITED SPORTS IS BEING SHADY.

NOT SO FAST -- United Sports posted that it is there "intention" to provide some kind of refund. What kind they do not say.
Apparently they then sent an email to program directors claiming that their Insurance company is still in need of information
and they (United Sports) have no definitive date or amount to provide.

This is a classic move in my opinion and they are holding a lot of money in their accounts that should be returned with interest.
Those that sent money should pay close attention and contact United Sports with your concerns.

Upper Atlantic Downingtown

New postby Rojo on Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:25 am

Has anyone heard from United Sports? They do not return phone calls. I have been to the website but it hasn't been updated. Lacrosse is a pretty small community and I can't believe these guys are potentially holding $$$$ in their bank account when it could be refunded to families that might actually need it given the current mkt environment.

Interested if anyone has thoughts?

DO NOT GO to Upper Atlantic Downingtown

New postby Rojo on Fri Oct 30, 2009 12:51 pm

That is my opinion. Dont't go in 2010. Don't reccommend the event, in fact tell everyone your opinion.
