Hate to hear that if it's true but he is a great leader and it was only a matter of time before someone lured him away.

It appears Adams State may have dropped MLAX.

No coach listed (he left to Morningside-NAIA)...Never put the job posting out...No team listed on Staff Directory...No coaches listed at all on Men's Lax page.

I'd guess they just lost their staff. If they were going to take down the coach listing due to cancelling the program, they would have taken down the team page as well. And I know that I've seen them on at least one schedule for next Spring.

Not a good sign for the RMAC if Adams State shuts down. They are already in need of more programs. Having less could spell trouble out west.

Not a new program but new to D2. Benedictine University (Lisle, IL) has been approved to begin D2 reclassifying. They will have a final year in D3 during 2018-19 before joining the GLVC in 2019-20 and expected full D2 membership in 2021-22. BenU has a men's and a women's team.

Same news release that shows BU as starting the membership process confirms that Emmanuel and Westminster both move to full DII membership. For EC that is notable as they were given two extra years to complete the process...

Just heard that a coach from a Las Vegas High School Team will be coaching at Adams State.

Keep an eye out for the Frostburg (MD) hire...
Will be interesting to see who they pick. They already have a good, local reputation for being accessible to student athletes. Add scholarships as the only D2 school in MD and they could enter the national lax conversation in a few years.

I’m not sure that 1 scholarship will make them competitive quickly.

A college takes a hs coach as it s coach. With this hire and some others you wonder what the priority of the schools are and what the AD's are thinking when they hire some of these people. Scratching my head at a number of these picks this year

Frosty had a nice 4 year run- between '13-'16. If they can compete in the D3 CAC they could adjust well to the D2 landscape, IMO.

But replacing a guy like Pearce is the challenge.

Lewis officially announces. Team will debut in 2019-20 with Joe Perruzzi (DC - Belmont Abbey College) as head coach. This brings the total to 6 new-to-D2 programs including Benedictine and Frostburg State for the 2020 season.

Surprised to see a new coach at Queens already, and surprised they just gave it to asst without doing a search.

Looking at the resume, I can see it. Not really PC, but he has the history and current knowledge of the team to step in at this time.
