Looks like a new HC for Kent who will work in admissions and has a history with 3D. Perhaps the beginning of a turnaround?

Perhaps now we will learn of the all-league selections at the end of each season. I understand the outgoing Kent coach Hobbs controlled the process in the past.

Fellas I just heard from a very reliable source that it looks like we're finally going to get what we've been asking for- a NE-West 1 league tournament.

This is a fantastic hire for Kent! Turnaround is definitely happening. Kruger is a great leader and man. Good luck Coach!

Wow. That’s great. Brings up lots of questions. How many teams will make the tournament? Will they play it over 1 weekend and which weekend? Will that have an affect on everyone’s schedule and how many out of conference games they will play?

Regarding a West I tourney...

First question: False News?
Second question: See first question.
Third question: Have pigs flown?

I don't know if the pigs have flown yet but it seems they are at least on the tarmac. From a few of the preliminary schedules I have seen, some of the typical end of season games have been shifted earlier to allow for a tournament, if in fact it happens.

Hopefully, the NE West I playoff will not be a one-day affair with multiple games in a day, like a summer tournament.

But, between a playoff and the new NCAA rules (dive is back and a 60-second shot clock), NEWest I will be great for players and fans, alike.

1. Can someone start the 2019 thread already? School is almost starting.

2. Also while I am at it, can Brunswick and DA play any other date than April 1, when it's as likely to snow as it is to be half-normal.

3. Shot clock too.

That's it. Back to my hibernation.

New England West-1 2019

New postby pcowlax on Mon Aug 13, 2018 4:04 pm

Ask and you will receive Beaver. No time to write much but agree that with the summer moving along (and please god make it stop with the miserable heat/humidity here in CT) it is time for us to turn our lonely eyes on next season (at least until they turn the lights off on us here). The idea of a possible playoff is extremely tantalizing and should be doable, though requiring some effort. However it has always been thus, it would be a delight if someone actually made it happen this year. Selfishly I love the idea of sticking it at Choate as that is the shortest drive in the league for me. I'll try to start a discussion. Outside of incoming transfers/PGs, who will be the offensive and defense players of the year in the league (you know, if they actually announced league awards)?

Wait, what happened here?? Started a new thread, it was a new thread, and then a few hours later that last page from the 2018 thread gets tacked onto the beginning? Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.

Edjumaguessing the mods saw a few of the last of the 2018 posts as likely appreciated/helpful to kick off the 2019 threadaroo?
