That's the third San Ramon player named NCal, Bay Area, et al -- player of the year.
Michael Tagliaferri was the most high profile POY out of San Ramon, and one of the most high profile players to come out of CA -- also IIRC being named California state player of the year. He's done well at UNC, and still with two years left.
French's story is a good one, and he's going to the right place at the right time. Hope he can make a real contribution.
With French taking the lead, in addition, this was San Ramon's and Pete Worstell's 3rd NCal state title since 2008 (2008, 2012, 2015).

Grandview Lacrosse in Colorado is looking for a California Team that would like to host our Spring Break trip in 2016. Grandview went 12-4 last year and is looking for a solid opponent or two to play the week of March 26th-April 1st 2016. Please let me know if there are some coaches I can contact, or if any of you guys would be interested in putting something together.

Thanks,

On a day when two Catholic powers – one from the East and the other from the West – played each other in Mineola, a little history of the 36 year-old Lacrosse program from Saint Ignatius of California might be of interest.

Congrats to SI on a nice victory against the extraordinary Chaminade Lacrosse team!

St. I has an ambitious schedule this year! Highlights will be Gonzaga and Landon from DC, as well as Chaminade and Garden City from Strong Island.

Are they really expected to be this good this year?

Kudos to St. I as they will be one of the few teams to test themselves in two of the more difficult lacrosse areas. I suspect they will show well - as every year...

I watched them play both Gonzaga and Brophy last year in AZ and after speaking with a few of the parents they were considered a young team at the time. Very athletic and disciplined as they always seem to be. I'm sure the games on the east coast will be as entertaining as they have been in recent years.

The sheer volume of kids playing lacrosse in the Bay Area is exploding. If you are a top player in your youth program, you want to go to SI. This program will only get better...

I don't think Calif has a State title in lacrosse, nor a Northern or Southern Calif State title. Generally for HS sports, the state is divided into "Sections" so the titles are by Sections for lacrosse. San Ramon is in the North Coast Section.
