looks like voters gave BYU just as much benefit from Colorado's win as they gave to Colorado, makes the Colorado State vs BYU game this Saturday even more interesting!!

Outside of that game I wouldn't expect much shift until we get past the dead times of spring break overlap and then we've got the Pitt Invitational and the Mile High Tourney in back to back weekends with a lot of top 20 match-ups which should help solidify the nationals picture (or as in most years not)

Umm... where did that #1 ranking for Central Florida come from?

I still like UCLA in #1 spot, sounds like the Colorado game was a toss-up, UCLA soundly beat Santa Clara this weekend. Definitely a well-coached team with some really good performances, but Santa Clara will be strong come playoffs, especially as the host for the WWLL tourney. I'd like to see what Michigan does this weekend, as well as some of the teams in the MAWLL like Va Tech.

UCLA comes out of the weekend as the top team. Colorado did come to play them on Friday night but could not keep up with the fresh legs of Santa Clara. Colorado has a strong center who is able to control the draw the majority of the time. UCLA easily beat Santa Clara come the second half of the game. I agree that UCLA is a well coached team and is tough to beat. Santa Clara did pull off the victory on Sunday against SDSU despite a red card to Santa Clara. SDSU has some great shooters who can find the back of the net. Cal Poly did well this weekend against both Davis and UCSB. The WWLL playoffs are going to be very interesting.

Looking forward to more games and Pitt/Mile High Tournament action!

I've never posted on this forum, but it's pretty evident the MAWLL needs an advocate.

hahaha welcome to the WCLA boards Dom

The MAWLL usually has very strong teams but they don't often play a ton of games outside the MAWLL and they beat up on each other inside the conference which leads to them being a little overlooked when it comes to the national poll. Definitely a lot of good lacrosse going on tho!! Would love to hear what kind of MAWLL info you have ...

BYU with a close OT win over CSU that will likely move them up...maybe to the top 5? Wins over CU and CSU has them looking good in the RMWLL. They don't really have any tough games left on their schedule, wonder if that will allow them to coast and stay in the top 5 or if Pitt or Mile High Tournament will provide a major shakeup to the rankings in the next couple of week.

BYU should definitely move up a few more spots with this win and stay ranked high enough to make it to Nationals ... should be a nice home field advantage for them!!

Minnesota should fall out--loss to northwestern doesn't bode well for them.

I agree FLLaxer

And since they didn't get the games in out west they won't even have the minimum number of games required anyway. Interesting to see what might happen with Northwestern though ... if they beat Illinois and Marquette then they'll win the WCLL west and make it to the conference tourney. They don't have a strong schedule but if they can surprise some teams there I wonder if they get a consideration as an at large.

No games coming up this weekend that look like they'll have much impact on rankings but there is my guess for the polls tomorrow

UCLA
Pitt
Santa Clara
Georgia
Michigan
BYU
Texas
San Diego State
Colorado State

For the 10th spot I think it should be Delaware but that it will probably be SLO or who knows maybe Central Florida picks up another #1 vote and moves up ...

I think the MAWLL has finally found its advocate in you picking Delaware #10! Now if we could only get you on the committee...

The MAWLL is not unlike the WWLL where teams regularly beat up on each other in league...but the WWLL does a better job of getting out nationally and playing out of conference games. If at least 4-5 teams from the MAWLL would make the effort to travel and play these games consistently, I think they would see a lot of favorable rankings nationally. Or maybe they just enjoy that under the radar underdog mentality! (see: VT in 2015)
