Duke 18, Virginia 13 (Final)

New postby HHS '64 on Sun Apr 08, 2018 8:22 am

Both teams were victorious in important conference contents yesterday, with the 'Hoos removing the "ACC 'victory monkey' from their backs" and (at least to me) beginning to play real Lars ball. CONGRATULATIONS to UVa! This obviously is an important game and -- notwithstanding any analytics -- a win by either team can easily be imagined.

Let's look at the history here:
2017 Duke (H) 20-11
2016 Duke (A) 14-8
2015 Duke (H) 15-8
2014 Duke (A) 17-15
2013 Duke (H) 19-16
2012 Duke (A) 13-5
2011 Duke (H) 13-11
2011 Duke (H - ACC tmt) 19-10
2010 Duke (A) 13-9
2010 Virginia (N ACC tmt) 16-12
2010 Duke (N NCAA tmt) 14-13

So does anyone have the balls to pick a UVa win?

Sure, why not? Both lost to Cuse by a goal, both beat UNC, but UVa had a bigger margin.

Cooter stirring the pot again. Md finally won one and you can't help but gloat. I'd be worried about Henningburg if I were you. That send you back down from where came.

After last week's victory, UVa will understandably be pumped. Duke has talent to win, but we must play disciplined, tenacious, aggressive lacrosse,

CONGRATULATIONS to the Blue Devils. UVa played impressive lacrosse in Q3, however, Duke responded with a 6 - 0 scoring run that sealed the victory (and, in my opinion, was further evidence of a solid team with the talent, discipline and tenacity to overcome major momentum shifts). I'm convinced that Coach Tiffany's leadership is creating visible improvements and that the 'Hoos will be a force in ACC '19.
