Rematch of March 10 game at Arlotta. Irish won 11-9, getting a much-needed Denver Monkey off of their backs. Shots, saves, ground balls were all fairly even. FOs were not with Pioneers winning 15/24. Irish have improved in that category, improving to slightly above 50%. A lot has happened to both teams since that game. Can the Irish get the ball enough times to continue their surge in scoring? Hopefully, we don't see replay of last year's 16-4 debacle.
The Edge...there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. HST

For me? The toughest and, almost, most interesting game to start the tournament. If anyone other than Coach Tierney was at the Pioneers helm I would favor ND easily. However, Coach T. iS there and has vast experience and success in tournament play.

Notre Dame is also very well coached and is playing “hot”. At home? I pick ND to win in what just might be the best game of the entire tournament.

How slow can Denver make this game. Same issue every year. Great ball movement for a minute or more, not looking to shoot but making the defense work, wait for the timer on, and then smartly attack. If they consistently get 2 minute possessions with baptiste winning 90% , pain in the arse for a not-so-efficient Irish offense to keep up. Hope I’m wrong.

I had Denver as a FF team for most of the season and dissed ND as having no offense. The Irish have since found an offense while the Pioneers' has faded. Losing their lsm doesn't help. Will the best FOGO be enough? ND may be the hottest team of all going into the tournament. They should be favored in this one.

Possibly the ugliest game I've seen all season. That being said, I think I have revised my criticism of Baptiste possibly winning the T. Without Baptiste, there's no way Denver could play this brand of lacrosse. In addition to his proven ability, he is the sole reason Denver can play this unwatchable, but successful, style of lacrosse.

Notre Dame looked just ok especially their offense and Denver was just a little better.
