Duke's strength is its depth of dangerous midfielders. Big game by Mackie will be a problem for Duke. Duke FOGO played club ball for Yale program.

Growing up in CT, and then deciding that Hopkins was a better match for me going into college ? (Yes, I was offered acceptance by Yale, and all of the other Ivies to which I applied.)

My take here is very simple. Boolah Boolah!

Ha, ha.

If that were true, someone needs to explain the recruiting, practice and scholarship rules to Coach K— stat.

I imagine that the point was that Duke is a strong school academically, and it is. As already pointed out, Duke is not subject to the same rules (with the February 1 starting practice date being one much-discussed rule) as the Ivies; and the scale of Duke's basketball machine, well, that's just not Ivy. Go Yale!

Really?? I was not aware that Duke adhered to Ivy League rules on when practice can begin, when games can first be played, etc etc, and also did not offer athletic scholarships.

Things have certainly changed regarding Ivy sports recruitment:

CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Shay and to the Bulldogs on their exceptionally well deserved National Championship. They played with excellence throughout the season and they clearly were the better team this afternoon. Simply stated, every element of the Eli’s game was exemplary.

My Blue Devils played a hard-nosed, competitive, second half, their appearance in the Championship game is indicative of a truly outstanding season, and they absolutely should be proud of their accomplishments (on and off the field).

With this sincerely said, 2018 is a somewhat rare year when the Division I’s best team both earned and won the National Championship . . . Bulldog, Bulldog, Bow Wow Wow!

Wow, what a super good game, don't know what more you could ask for, a game worthy of NC day, was incredibly intense. Well done, Elis, and congrats.
As in the semi final game, it appeared to me as if Yale came out of the gate ready for the day and running like a smooth machine, well oiled, and at high RPMs. Seemed to have a bit of an edge in that respect, like a boxer coming out with a good sweat vs one who doesn't. Ultimately the lead Yale established early proved to be the difference, Duke could never make that up. Hard fought game by both teams, congrats to both for making it to Memorial Day, that's no easy task.
Congrats again to Yale, that was an outstanding exhibition of lacrosse!!!

I'm not sure if it's astute judgment or a very good guess, but in either case congratulations on your spot-on prediction.

Duke's on ball defense was by far the best I have seen all season. Made me anxious whenever Yale had possession. Extremely hard fought and quality performances by both teams.

Pretty sure that's the first time Doc's been right in the prognosticating department since I've been around LP.

No edibles for me Big Bad B, I'll stick with what I know. Do appreciate the concern though.
Am happy the Elis won it.....what a terrific game, and the above comment about the intensity of Duke's D is spot on the way I saw it.
Attendance looked pretty good on TV...any numbers yet?
