I would not want to be a pollster this year. You've got a lot of great teams sitting at records like 5-4, 4-3, 4-5, 3-5 who have lots of close losses.

Take Arizona State. 3-5 and they are on a 4-game losing streak, including going 0-3 vs the SELC on a trip east, including two overtime games and an average goal differential of -1. Three of their five losses were in overtime, and every single loss was a one-goal game.

Colorado sits at 5-1 and went 3-0 in their trip east against the SELC, and two of those were overtime games and a goal differential of +1.3 on the trip. They get to play each other this weekend, which should be a good game to watch. Colorado then has a brutal end to their schedule.

I'm excited to see how the undefeated teams continue to do do. Michigan State and Davenport look very dangerous, both with top 10 wins - they face each other this weekend so one will have a loss. South Carolina looks good but they unfortunately don't have any good out of conference games to really gauge them. Utah continues to look good but their SOS is dropping as they haven't beaten anyone with a winning record yet. Chapman is undefeated having gone through the meat of their schedule with a few one-goal wins as well.

Exciting season to say the least.

Interesting poll results for this week. It seems like there is a lot of east coast representation, which is good for the MCLA. More exposure brings better talent. Utah is just rolling along, but there will be challenges ahead for a young team come tournament time. Quite a bit of shuffling in the 9 through 19 slots. I think that there is little difference between #9 Concordia Irvine and #19 Cal Poly. I wouldn't want to be on the tournament selection committee this year. Teams 1-4 seem to have separated themselves from the pack.
